Mr. Dwight Sellers Vickery, 81, of McKenzie passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2017 in the Georgiana Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017 at the Community Christ Church in McKenzie with Keahey Funeral Home directing. The time will be announced at a later date.

Rev.Alan Odom will preside.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Elaine Vickery of McKenzie; son, Russ Vickery of McKenzie; daughter, Christi Waldheim of Ft.Walton; sister, Minnie Jo Lowe of McKenzie; grandchildren, Jackson Vickery, Hunter Waldheim and Inga Waldheim; nephews, Randy Lowe and Jerry McGowin; niece, Becky Stewart; and several great nieces and nephews.

Mr.Vickery was an educator for more than 35 years. He served as a principal and teacher for many years in the Butler County School System.

The family in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
