Two Luverne residents caught with crack cocaine, meth in Opp

Two Luverne residents are behind bars after being caught with crack cocaine and meth in Opp.
Opp Police Chief Mike McDonald said that on Friday night around 9:39, a D-Shift officer conducted a traffic stop on a white in color Chevrolet Cavalier for a traffic violation on East Cummings Avenue.
James D. Grider, 56, of Luverne.
Teresa W. Motes, 48, of Luverne.
“The officer observed the vehicle operator drop a baggie containing methamphetamine inside of the vehicle,” McDonald said.
The OPD K9 unit was utilized to search the vehicle.
“K9 Bella alerted on the vehicle and officers located three baggies containing methamphetamine and crack cocaine,” McDonald said.
Officers arrested James D. Grider, 56, of Luverne and Teresa W. Motes, 48, of Luverne.
They were both charged with possession of a controlled substance and booked in the Covington County Jail.
