The Fort Dale Academy Lady Eagles came away with a big win against Monroe on Tuesday night, and then hit the hardwood Thursday night to face off with Lakeside Lady Chiefs from Eufaula, and came away with another win 44-30.

The Lady Eagles record of 10-2 seemed to be in jeopardy at the end of the first quarter as the Lady Chiefs jumped ahead 9-6. The score was reversed in the second quarter and at the half the score was tied at 15.

Coming out of the locker room with new determination as a team, Anna Blake Langford hit a 3 pointer to get the Eagles rolling in the right direction. Langford added another 3 pointer, followed by 3 more baskets. Madison Ann Gaston and Lucy Bates dropped in one each and ended the third quarter 32 to 25.

In the fourth quarter the Lady Eagles defense held the Chiefs to 5 points, as they themselves added 12 more points to close the game out with a win- improving their record to 11-2.
