Her children remember her as a kind and supportive mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. She liked to keep them well fed and well dressed. Being a military family they moved several times, ultimately bringing them to Anchorage, Alaska.

Dollie was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and reading. She also loved antiquing and had passion for interior and exterior designing. She was a snow bird to Palm Springs, Calif., for several years before her passing.
