Mrs. Johnnie Jean Griffin, a resident of Greenville, Ala., passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the chapel of Carter Rice and West Funeral Home, 10 Chalet Drive, Greenville, Ala. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at College Street Church of Christ, 36 Aztec Road, Greenville, Ala., with Carter Rice and West Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow at Bragg Hill Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Johnnie Jean is survived by her seven children:  Curtis Campbell (Cathleen), Cynthia Peagler (special friend Wendell), Debra Peagler (special friend Jeff), Stephanie Griffin (fiancée Victor), Holsie Griffin (Stephanie), Daryl Griffin (Deirdre) and Demarcus Griffin (special friend KaNeisha); 18 grandchildren: Xzavier Zeigler, Brentley Hill, Curtis T. Campbell, Demetrius Jordan, Walter Stone, Michael Peagler, Christopher Walter, Arieona Crenshaw, Justin Crenshaw, Makayla Griffin, Tyan Scott, Holsie E. Griffin, Jr., De’Nazia Griffin, Destinee Griffin, LaStratti Patterson, JaQuan Griffin, Demario Griffin and Kody Griffin; and one great grandson, Braylen Walker.
