Mr. James Lutrell Wright Sr., 92 a resident of Pine Apple, Ala., died Friday, Dec. 30, 2016.  Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home, Greenville Ala., at 11 a.m. with Bro. Willie Crawford and Bro. Harold Smith officiating and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing.  Burial followed in Awin Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family received friends one hour prior to service. 

Mr. Wright is survived by his wife of 67 years, Juliette Godwin Wright; sons, James Lutrell Wright Jr. and Arthur Gordon Wright (Mary Beth); daughter, Gwendolyn Wright Griffin; grandchildren, Stephanie Serra (Mike), Arthur Gordon Wright Jr. (Elisha) and Capt. James Cook Wright; five great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

The family requests all memorials be given to Awin Baptist Church,  195 Adams Street, Pine Apple, AL 36768.
