Mrs. Mary Stella Lancaster Cowart, 95, a resident of Greenville, Ala., died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 at Crowne Health Care in Greenville, Ala.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016 at Antioch East Baptist Church, Greenville, Ala., at  11 a.m. with Rev. Ronnie Boulware officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home will be directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral services.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. John Gaston Cowart.

Mrs. Cowart is survived by her two sons,  J. Mickey Cowart (Barbara), and Dale Cowart; five grandchildren, Tiffany Lynn Cowart, Todd Cowart (Aimee), Bryan Cowart, Jonathan Cowart and Mathew Cowart Dyess;  two step-grandchildren,  Christy Tidmore (Eric) and Katie Shaddix (Jonathan); 10 great-grandchildren  and a number of nieces and nephews.
