All four Fort Dale teams enjoyed victory on the basketball court over visiting Raiders from South Montgomery County Academy on Friday.

The junior varsity girls got the ball hooping with a 32-14 win. Every quarter ended with Fort Dale leading and high scorers for the game were Hayden Fail and Ginny Coker with 6 points each and Jamie Pickens with 5 points. The team was at 35 percent at the free throw line. This win improved their season to 5 and 2.  Coach Regina Parker said the girls executed their plays as planned and more girls scored baskets.  “That’s what it takes to win games,” she added.

The junior varsity boys followed suit with a 40-22 victory.  Top scorers for the night were Jacob Foster with 24 points, Davis Gaston with 8 points, and Brice Acreman with 5 points, which included one three pointer.  The boys ended the game with 37 percent on free throws.  Friday’s win improves their record to 4 and 3.

The varsity girls had no problem netting a win with a score of 52-25.  They jumped ahead with an 11-4 lead in the first quarter and never let up.  High scorers in the game were Anna Blake Langford with 12 points, Lucy Bates with 9 points, Madison Ann Gaston and Madison Langford with 8 points each.   The varsity girls went 50 percent on free throws and improved their record to 6 and 1.

The varsity boys had control of their game from the tip off as well and came away victoriously with a score of 56-26.  Top scorers for the night were Luke Taylor with 28 points, Bryan Folds with 9 points, and Tripp Richardson with 8 points.  The free throw line yielded 59 percent and the win improved their record to 5 and 2.
