Vaudie Marie Knight, 80, a resident of McKenzie, Ala., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016. A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 from the Johnson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Randy Harvill officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Olive East Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Ala., will be directing arrangements. Vaudie was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Knight Jr.; sons, Michael Wayne Knight and Joseph Allen Knight; parents, James A. Rowell and Ida Lou Nix; and half brother, Douglas (Bo) Goins. Survivors include daughter, Alesia Knight Stuart, Andalusia, Ala.; sons, Jeffrey Chad (Janet) Knight, Georgiana, Ala. Vaudie is also survived by two grandchildren, Vanessa (Daniel) Nelson and Monica (Jeramey) Chavers; and six great grandchildren, Stuart Nelson, Cash Nelson, Ewing Nelson, Tucker Chavers, Hartley Chavers and Summit Chavers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt Olive East Cemetery Fund. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time.
