Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Bingham, 87, a resident of Forest Home, Ala., died Friday, Nov. 11, 2016 at her residence. The funeral service was held Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home with Reverend George McClure officiating and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing. The family received friends from 2 p.m. to service time. A memorial service was also held Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home in Butler, Ala. The family received friends from 1 p.m. to service time. She was the only child of the late Arrel Lee Moore and Rosie Lee Moore. Elizabeth was the wife of Thomas A. Bingham Sr., a retired minister of the United Methodist Church, mother of five loving children, grandmother of nine, and great grandmother of 14.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, and her first grandchild, Christina Elizabeth James.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Thomas A. Bingham Sr.; her daughter, Connie Bingham James (widow) of Butler, Ala.; her son, Thomas A. Bingham Jr. and his wife, Rose M. Runnells Bingham of Buckatunna, Miss.; her daughter, Jean B. Lindsey (widow), previously of Montgomery, Ala., her son, Dennis Lee Bingham and his wife, Maudie James Bingham, of Millry, Ala., and her daughter, Linda Bingham Mulligan and her husband, John L. Mulligan Jr. of Prattville, Ala. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mitchell Wayne James, Crystal LeeDell James, Heather Bingham Evans (husband-Jamie Evans), Deidre Renee Bingham, Cortney Bingham Stock (husband-Nathan Stock), Lonnie Lee Bingham (wife-Courtni Andrews Bingham), Brady Matthew Lindsey (wife-Natasha West Lindsey), Sean Michael Mulligan (wife-Katy Wood Mulligan) and Patrick Cameron Mulligan. She is survived by her great-grandchildren, Zackery Kade Feather, Makaila Elizabeth Portis, Ryan Austin Zettlemoyer, Bailee Dailyn James, Jordan Kyle James, Olivia Regan Evans, Cole Avery Bingham, Aileen Katherine Mulligan, Cooper Andrews Bingham, Case Adrian Bingham, Zander Grant Evans, Abigail Grace Mulligan, Addison Faith Stock and Oliver David Lindsey.

She held several jobs during her long life, but her true life was to love and support her husband and take care of her five children. She will be truly missed.

Her grandsons and great-grandsons served as her pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may also be given to Forest Home Methodist Church or the Methodist Childrens Home.
