Carlon Ray Smith, 72, a resident of Lowndesboro, Ala., passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2016. A celebration of life service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Raughton and Richard Shows officiated. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Ala., directed arrangements. Survivors include wife, Linda Smith, Lowndesboro; sons, Greg Smith, Greenville, Ala., Gary Smith, Auburn, Ala., Tiger Smith, Lowndesboro, Todd Long and Brett Long, both of Greenville, Ala.; daughters, Melanie Barganier, Birmingham, Ala., and Tawana Hollyhand, Greenville, Ala.; sisters, Wilene Josey, Georgiana, Ala., Voncile Lee, McKenzie, Ala., and Ernestine Simmons, Red Level, Ala.; and brother, Aubrey Smith. Mr. Smith also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends was held Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until service time.
