Jamie N. Pouncey, 87, a resident of Wetumpka, Ala., and formerly of Georgiana, Ala., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2017 from Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Rev. Danny Ellis officiating. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Ala., directing arrangements. Jamie was preceded in death by his parents, Mace and Vera Pouncey; sisters, Unavay Pouncey and Lurlene Johnson; and brother, Dewey Pouncey. Survivors include sister, Janell Powell, Greenville, Ala.; brothers, Frank Pouncey, Greenville, Ala., and Winton Pouncey, Rhode Island. Jamie is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. A gathering of family and friend will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Johnson Funeral Home.
