“This store is such a big part of the community. The employees and customers make it a wonderful place to come to work every day.”

Brown is no stranger to the grocery business. He worked at Southern Family Markets for six years before joining Super Foods of Greenville.

Food Depot of Luverne opened 1971 when Mr. John E. “Jimmy” Wilson moved his family to the “Friendliest City in the South” and opened Big Bear of Luverne, eventually becoming Food Depot of Luverne.

President and COO, John Wilson, said that he and the entire staff welcome Dale back home to Luverne.

“We are proud to welcome Dale as the new store manager,” Wilson said.

“It is with great joy that we are able to hire from within as we promote Dale to the position that he has worked so long and hard to obtain. We invite everyone to stop by and welcome Dale back to his hometown. It is great to have him leading the staff as we continue to make the store an even better place to shop, save money and feed your family for less.”

Brown and his wife Mitzi have four children, Andrew, Gracie, Noah and Hannah.
