Marilyn Pierce, 71, passed away on April 5, 2016 in Redding, Calif., where she resided for the past 10 years. She resided in Greenville, Ala., for 40 years prior to her move to California.  She is survived by her children, Donald Pierce (Denise) residing in Chico, Calif., Curtis Pierce (Shawnee) residing in McKenzie, Ala., and Vickie Johnston (Randy) residing in Montgomery, Ala.  She is also survived by her sisters, Nancy Schley (Clayton) and Joan Nelson. Marilyn also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Amber and Austin Pierce, Lauren and Caleb Pierce, and Turner, Gracie and Will Johnston.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Pierce, who passed away in 1994.

Memorial services will be performed at Eastern Meadows Church of Christ located at 8460 Vaughn Road in Montgomery, Ala., on June 18 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marilyn Pierce’s name to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
