Vonell Gorum, 81, a resident of Evergreen, Ala., passed away April 1. A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. April 3 from the Olive Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Herbert Brown, Rev. Cleveland Brown and Garrett Bolen officiating. Burial will be held in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Ala., will be directing arrangements. Survivors include daughter, Teresa Hawsey, Evergreen, Ala.; sons, Jackie Lamon  Gorum, David Eugene Gorum and Timothy Darrell Gorum, all of Evergreen, Ala., and Kenneth Dewayne Gorum, Garland, Ala.;  and brother, Melvin W Traweek, Northport, Ala. Vonell also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends will be from 1 p.m. until service time.
