Sadie Mae Rivers Savage

Funeral services for Mrs. Sadie Mae Rivers Savage were held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 1 p.m. from Rocky Mount Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Randy Tolliver was the officiating minister. Burial followed in Sunrise cemetery. Hudson Funeral Services of Greenville, Ala., directed. Mrs. Sadie Mae Rivers Savage was born on July 1, 1949 in Greenville, Ala., to the late Mr. Jessie James Rivers and   Mrs. Annie Bell Rivers.

She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church.  She was an active, faithful and devoted member while her health permitted.  She had a strong love for the Lord, her church family, friends and family.

She departed this life on March 12 at her home in Greenville, Ala.

She was proceeded in death by five brothers: James, Henry, Jessie Jr., Elijah Rivers and Gene Rivers.

She leaves to cherish her memories three children, Moses Rivers, Pensacola, Fla., and Cosette (John) Cook and Charlotte Savage, both of Greenville, Ala.; seven brothers, Alfred (Ocie) Rivers and Samuel Rivers, both of Pensacola, Fla., Tommie Rivers, Willie Morgan Jr. and L.C. Crosby, all of Greenville, Ala, and Jessie (Gloria) Scott of Troy, Ala.; two sisters, Ethel Mae Snow and Willie Mae (Johnnie) Brown, both of Pensacola, Fla.; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews,  devoted cousin, Eve Crenshaw, two devoted friends, Ollie James Scott and Elaine Carter; and very devoted neighbors, J.C. and Joanne Peagler, and friends.
