The Georgiana Garden Club will hold its Arbor Day Celebration Thursday at Log Cabin.

At the event, which is slated to begin at 1 p.m., the National Garden Club contest winners will receive awards and Smokey Bear will be presenting goodie bags to all the winners.

A flowering tree will also be planted in honor of all cancer survivors from the Georgiana and McKenzie areas.

The cabin is next to Georgiana’s First United Methodist Church, which is located on North Miranda Avenue.
