Multiple South Street residents reported hearing shots fired in the early morning hours of Friday.

Greenville Police Department Capt. Justin Lovvorn confirmed that officers did respond to a call of shots fired in the area just before 5 a.m.

“Officers responded to the area, but did not find anyone,” he said.

“There were no reports of damage or injury.”
