Clarence Franklin Snowden, Jr., 78, a resident of Montgomery, and former resident of Greenville, died Jan. 27. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Jan. 31, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Greenville with Rev. Paul McLendon officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home announcing. Visitation will follow the service.

Mr. Snowden was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence F. And Myra B. Snowden, and his brother, Elie Eugene Snowden. He is survived by his wife, Betty N. Snowden of Montgomery; daughter, Malinda Bates (John) of Logan, Ala.; son, Clarence F. Snowden, III (Melissa) of Montgomery; grandchildren, Laurie Johnson (William), John Allen Bates, Ben Bates, Madison Snowden, Emily Bates, Savannah Snowden and Isabella Snowden; great-grandchildren, Watts Johnson, Ellis Johnson and Ann Carlton Johnson; brother, Thomas Wayne Snowden (Betty) of Deatsville, Ala.; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
