Miss Ruby Lee McCormick, 96, a resident of Greenville AL, died Saturday, November 28, 2015.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 30, 2015 from the Chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with The Reverend Dr. David Saliba officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.  Interment will follow at Mount Zion Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Miss McCormick is survived by numerous cousins, friends, and church family.

Sam Searcy

 

Mr. Sam Searcy, 87, a native of Greenville, Ala., and a resident of Orange Beach, Ala., passed away on Nov. 25, 2015 at his daughter’s home.

He was a Navy veteran and retired from Brown and Root Construction with many years worked at Ciba-Geigy in McIntosh, Ala.

Sam is survived by his daughter, Ann (Charles) Morrison; sister, Nancy (Roland) Srofe; brother-in-law, Walter Autrey; special friend, Mrs. Evelyn Pride; cousins, nieces, nephews, numerous relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia E. Searcy; parents, George R. Searcy, Merle Thompson and Regger Thompson; and sister, E. Jane Autrey.

Sam was an avid fisherman who never met a stranger and always had a great story to tell.

Visitation was held on Friday, Nov. 27, 2015 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.

Graveside services was held on Saturday, No. 28, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church Cemetery in Greenville, Ala., with Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing.
