Charles E. (Chuck) Steele, 79, a resident of Georgiana, Ala., passed away Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015. A celebration of life service was held 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015 from Brushey Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Harvill officiating. Burial followed in church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Ala., directed arrangements. Survivors include wife, Evelyn Steele, Georgiana, Ala.; daughters, Layla (Willie) Benbow, McKenzie, Ala., and Rose Steele, Georgiana, Ala.; sons, Thomas (Vicky) Steele, Georgiana, Ala., and Michael Steele, Pace, Fla.; sister, Isabelle Wallen, Stone Mountain, Ga.; brothers, James Steele, Kirksville, Mo., and Billy Steele and Don Steele, both of Indiana. Chuck also leaves behind seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends was held Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until service time.
