Beth Hyatt has been tabbed to lead Greenville Newspapers, LLC’s coverage of Crenshaw County.

Hyatt, who was hired as a special projects coordinator with Greenville Newspapers in July, will transfer to a general assignment position with The Luverne Journal.

“We’re excited about this move,” said GNL Managing Editor Andy Brown. “During the last several months, Beth has proven to be a great asset to our company and the Greenville community. We’re sure that the same will prove to be true as she spearheads our coverage of Crenshaw County.”

Prior to joining GNL’s staff full-time, Hyatt completed an internship with The Greenville Advocate, during which time she worked in the newspaper’s editorial department.

“I hope that I will be able to be an asset to Crenshaw County, and I am excited to see what all this new opportunity will hold,” said Hyatt. “I’m looking forward to getting to know Luverne and the people that call Crenshaw County home.”

Hyatt is a Greenville native and recently completed her master’s degree in strategic communications at Troy University. She’s already began working in Luverne.
