TROY — After serving patients in Troy and Luverne since 1968, optometrists Dr. Roy and Dr. Jane Lamb have announced their retirement.

Their former practice, Advanced Family Eyecare, has been acquired by Family Eye Center of Troy in a mutual agreement between the two practices.

Effective Sept. 2, former patients of Drs. Roy and Jane Lamb in Troy and Luverne may be seen by Family Eye Center’s physicians, who welcome them to continue receiving the type of eye care they’ve come to rely upon.

“For nearly 50 years, the Lambs have provided quality, personal care to their patients,” said Dr. Allen Dunn, founding partner of Family Eye Center. “We respect their years of service, and are committed to providing the same excellent level of care their patients expect.”

Family Eye Center partner Dr. David Hamlin said, “We’re grateful for this opportunity to expand into the Luverne area while offering continuity of care to the Lamb’s former patients – including care from many of the staff they’ve come to know. True to both practices’ names, family is at the heart of all we do, and we welcome these patients into our family too.”

Family Eye Center was founded by Dr. Allen Dunn in 1983, with Dr. David Hamlin joining in 1998, followed by Dr. Mary Kate Moring in 2013.

Family Eye Center’s offices are located at 606 South George Wallace Drive in Troy and 288 South Forest Avenue in Luverne.
