Oscar Lane Womack

Oscar Lane Womack, formerly of Greenville, passed away on September 13, 2015. Mr. Womack was born July 18, 1931 in Bragg Hill, Alabama to the late Dempsey and Ethel Hawthorn Womack. He was preceded in death by  seven brothers; Charlie Crenshaw, DeWitt Womack, Silversteen Womack, LV Womack, Dempsey Womack, Jr., Clarence Womack, and John L. Womack, Sr.; and four  sisters; Carrie Womack Avery, Sarah Womack Waters, Hortense Womack Wilkerson, and Catheryne Womack Thomas.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his loving wife Kay Frances, whom he cared for until the day of his passing; daughters Brenda (E. Gino) Vega, Barbara (Reuben) Furr; son Mark (Lisa) Womack; granddaughters Dana (Terrell) Johnson, Stephanie Moser, Micaela (Silas) Pessoa, Shayla Womack, and grandson Marcus Womack; great-granddaughters Kayana Johnson and Kristina Johnson; loving sister Lela Pearl (James) Howard; sisters-in-law Estelle P. Womack and Ruby Price Womack of Greenville, Alabama; Lois Witcher and Ada (David) Parker of Akron, OH; Sandra Webb, Thelma Cook, Verla Mae Cook, and brother-in-law Darnell (Lola) Cook all of Cleveland, OH; devoted nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

The visitation was held Monday at 10am followed by the Home Going Celebration at 11am at Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ, 14102 Harvard Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44120.
