Nellie Frances Hartley

Nellie Frances Hartley, 95, a resident of Greenville, died at her home Thursday, Aug. 27. The funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 29, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Wallace Newton and Rev. Walter Brewer officiating. Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home will direct. Burial will follow at Giddens Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hartley was preceded in death by her husband, John Hartley; daughter, Nellie Bentley; sons, Johnny Hartley, Albert Hartley and Philip Hartley; granddaughter, Tabitha Free; and grandson, David Bentley. She is survived by her daughters, Mae Moody (Lonny) of Greenville, Bettie Huckabaa (Jerry) of Honoraville, Mary Lou Hartley of Greenville, Frances Clements (Duane) of Montgomery, Edith Free of Wetumpka and Myra Hartley of Honoraville; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Milton Clements, Shayne Moody, Victor Moody, Sterling Moody, Connor Lingerfelt, Steve Hartley, Daniel Hartley and Austin Herring. Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Bentley, Scott Bentley, Joseph Perdue, John Ross Hartley, Brandon Godwin and Preston Davis.

Mrs. Hartley was a devoted church member of Giddens Chapel United Methodist Church and she enjoyed quilting.
