Peggy Ann Jones, 59, more affectionately known as “Peggy D. Jones,” who worked at L.V. Stabler Hospital for nearly 36 years, died on Monday, Aug. 17 at her residence. The funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 22 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Phillips officiating and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 21 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Davis; and grandparents, John Francis and Estelle Sexton. She is survived by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Jones of Georgiana, Ala.; brother, Jeffrey Davis (Debbie) of Luverne, Ala., and many nieces and nephews.

Peggy and Chuck were married for 17 years. Peggy was a wonderful woman, wife, and caregiver who watched diligently over patients and dedicated to her co-workers. She loved to play her games on her iPad. Peggy was an LPN at L.V. Stabler Hospital in Greenville, Ala., for 36 years. On Sept. 13, she would have celebrated her 37th year of service.
