Greenville native ordained

Jason Simmons was recently ordained with the Assemblies of God at their 100th year district council service.

Dr. George Wood, Assemblies of God general superintendent, and Rev. Kenneth Draughn, Assemblies of God Alabama district superintendent, presided over the ordination service.

Simmons is a graduate of Greenville High School, Huntingdon College and Jones School of Law.

He has completed the requirements to be recognized with the Assemblies of God Church as a general graduate in Springfield, Mo.

Simmons is a partner with Simmons and Simmons Law firm and is also the Kids Quest pastor at Greenville First Assembly of God. He also holds the position of associate pastor at the church.

Simmons resides in Greenville and is married to Ashley Jones Simmons, a teacher with the Butler County School System.

The couple has three sons, Jackson, Chapman, and Nate.
