Tyler Arnold Branch

 

Mr. Tyler Arnold Branch, 19, a resident of Fort Deposit, died Tues., Feb. 17, 2015.

A funeral service was held on Fri., Feb. 20, 2015 in the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Minister Charles Box and the Rev. Bob Watts officiating. Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home is directing. Burial followed in Fort Dale Cemetery. The family received friends Thurs., Feb. 19, 2015.

Mr. Branch is survived by his parents, Pete & Mary Branch of Fort Deposit; sisters, Brenda

Champion of Greenville and Tina Cobb of Fort Deposit; brother, James Cobb of Greenville; paternal grandmother, Annette Branch of Fort Deposit; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives; god parents, Robert and Billie Meridith; and girlfriend, Cheyenne Dennis and her family of Montgomery.

Carlos Edward Hare

Carlos Edward Hare, born Sept. 27, 1952, in Yellow Pine, Ala., entered eternal rest on Sat., Feb. 7, 2015, at his home in Frankville. Affectionately known as “Buddy,” Mr. Hare was a jack-of-all trades who enjoyed mechanics, horseback riding and watching wrestling. He will be remembered as a doting father and grandfather, humorous brother, and loyal friend.

Buddy was a loving husband and a quick-witted person.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Gertrude Till; brothers, Jeff Hare, John Hare and Edward Till; sisters, Melba Till Allen, Edith Till Newton, JoAnn Hare and Dorothy Hare; and daughter, Carletta Jeannette Terlow.

Survivors include a wife of 24 years, Sheryl Curry Hare of Frankville; daughters, Savannah Faith Hare of Frankville, Lisa Reeves of Irvington and Opal Hare of Adamsville; grandchildren, Saryna Reeves of Irvington, Connor Reeves of Irvington and Adam Doty of Louisiana; brothers, Ben Till Jr. of Lowdnesboro, Guin Till of Greenville, A.W. Till of Greenville, Garyel Till of Milton, Rickey “Joe” Anderson of Montgomery, Jerry Till of Lowndesboro and Windell Hudman of Springville; sisters, Maxine Till Gilmore of Montgomery, Shirley Till McCrory of Robertsdale, Wanda Hudman of Huntsville and Ruthie Jane Johnston of Millry.

Funeral services were held on Tues., Feb. 10, 2015, at New Hope Methodist Church in Frankville. The Rev. John W. Stone and the Rev. Ernie Henson officiated. Pallbearers were Lee Curry, Ethan Curry, Chris Curry, Mark Courington, Robert Chaney and Johnny Prestenbach. Honorary pallbearers were Dakota Hearn, Floyd Ross, Tommy Courtney and George Curry.

 

Bessie Louise Hayes

 

Bessie Louise “Tubie” Hayes, 97, a resident of Greenville, died at her home on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015. A celebration of life service will be on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Moses officiating and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Hayes is survived by her children, Bob W. Hayes (Judy) of Gadsden and Margie Hayes Brock of Greenville; grandchildren, Charles Hayes (Debbie) of Birmingham, Bobby W. Hayes Jr. (Nikki) of Gadsden, Julie Tenneyson (David) of Gadsden, Kaye C. Bolton (Tom) of Selma, Margaret Hayes Bolton (Michael) of Kents Store, Va., Thomas Kendrick Coker, III of Ocala, Fla., and Todd Rance Coker (Denise) of Prattville; great-grandchildren, Reese and Blair Hayes, Bo Darby, Julie, Baylor and Brady Tenneyson, Merrill B South (Steven), Thomas Rance Coker and Brandon Taylor Coker; great-great-grandchildren, Emma Kate South and Noah B. Verla Mae Braden Mills

 

Verla Mae Braden Mills, 83, a resident of Greenville, died on Feb. 19.  A graveside service was Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. at Antioch West Baptist Church Cemetery with Watson Wasden and Dustin Harris officiating. There was no visitation.   Mrs. Mills, known as “Memaw” to many, was preceded in death by her sons, Robert Lyn Mills and Hiram Eugene Mills; and grandsons, Stephen Kyle Nelson and Jason Shannon Nelson.

Mrs. Mills is survived by her children, Tracy L. Mills (Marilyn) of Greenville, Anita Rice (Chuck) of Montgomery, Jennifer Taylor (Rick) of Florala and Clyde F. Connie Ruth Mitchell

 

Mrs. Connie Ruth Mitchell, 70, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015 at Crowne Health Care in Greenville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 5 p.m. at the chapel of Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Lane Simmons officiating.  Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Park.  Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home will direct services. The family will receive friends at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents,  Hershal and Tessie Brooks, and sister and brothers, Dorothy Ray Price, Dan Brooks and Edward Brooks. She is survived by her husband, Buddy Mitchell of Greenville; children, Jimmy DeWayne Youngblood (Heather) of Batesville, Miss., Dennis Boyd Mitchell of Clio, Lynn Mosley (Chris) of Greenville and Diane Green (Charles) of Honoraville; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Bundy of Greenville; brothers, Bobby Gene Brooks (Reba) of Greenville and Harold Brooks of Greenville; stepson,  DarrinMitchell (Ronda) of LaGrange, Ga., and many nieces and nephews.

 

Elizabeth Skipper Raybon

 

Elizabeth Skipper Raybon, 89, a resident of Greenville, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015 at Baptist South Hospital. The funeral service will be Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015 at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with Reverend Herbert Brown officiating and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Park. Visitation was Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m.

Mrs. Raybon was preceded in death by her husbands,, Willis Skipper and Guy Raybon; parents, G.C. and Nancy McCarthy; and son-in-law, Aubrey Parker. She is survived by her three daughters, Margorie Parker of Greenville, Peggy Pouncey (Daryl) of Greenville and Chloe Ann Morris of Warner Robins, Ga.; grandchildren, Sandi Heartsill (Larry), Daryl Pouncey (Angie), Anna Boutwell (Andy), Audrey Moorhead McVay (Jerry), Willis Parker (Leeann) and Reba Morris; 16 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren and other family members.
