Mildred Louise Pierce, 78, a resident of McKenzie, Ala., passed away on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014. A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, Ala., will direct arrangements. Pierce was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Pierce and son, Joey Pierce. Survivors include: granddaughter, Charlee Jo Pierce of Georgiana, Ala.; sister, Edna (Harry) Mitchell of Ft. Deposit, Ala.; brother, Daniel (Gail) Turner of McKenzie, Ala., and a number of nieces and nephews.
