Mr. James Leon Trant, a resident of Luverne for 60 years, died on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014 at Luverne Health & Rehab. He is survived by two stepchildren, Gladys Johnson (Royce) and Allie Gene Turman (Lorene); three brothers – Carl, Charles and Daniel Trant, six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mary Frances Trant; his parents, James Frank and Olga Lee Trant; and one granddaughter, Virginia Nell Sexton. On Friday, Sept. 26, there will be a visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at White Chapel in Montgomery and a graveside service at noon at Forest Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Snowdoun.
