Funeral services for Mr. Joey (JoJo) Tyson will be held on Sunday, Aug. 3, at noon at Lincoln Street House of God. Elder Calvin Crenshaw will officiate. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery with Hudson Funeral Services directing. Mr. Tyson was born on June 4, 1960, to the late MR. Tommy Lee Tyson and Mrs. Vergie Mae Tyson. He confessed to Christ at an early age at Mt. Ida Baptist Church, and later united with Lincoln Street House of God Church where he remained faithful until death serving on the Usher Board. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lee L. Hamilton, Anthony Tyson and Thoris Tyson; and one daughter, Cassandra Tyson. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Mrs. Vergie Mae Tyson; daughter, Jessica Denise Crenshaw Tyson; grandson, Ja’Quavium O’Dariys Crenshaw Tyson; three brothers, Jim (Jewel) Tyson, Michael (Betty) Tyson, McCarthy Tyson; and sister, Gwendolyn Tyson; four devoted friends, Zula Shambray, Susie Works, Tom Works and Charles Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends; three sisters-in-law, Kathy Tyson, Jackie Tyson and Zelda Hamilton; two great aunts, Susie Palmer, Birmingham, Ala., and Shirley Perdue, Chicago, Ill.; one great uncle, Johnnie Joe Williams, Greenville, Ala.
