Pearl (Mrs. Johnny) Burkett, 83, a resident of Pine Apple, Ala., passed away July 8. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 11, from the Johnson Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Willie Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Shackleville Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home directing arrangements. Survivors include: daughter, Wanda Cobb, Pine Apple, Ala.; son, David Burkett, Dothan, Ala.; brother, Ray Lowery, Georgiana, Ala.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
