Members of the Alabama Funeral Directors Association were on hand when Gov. Robert Bentley signed Senate Bill 98, which ensures that money paid for pre-need services and merchandise is placed in trust within 30 days of payment to the funeral homes in accordance with a schedule established in the legislation. The bill passed the Alabama Legislature during Don Daniels’ term as president of the Alabama Funeral Directors Association. Representing the Alabama Funeral Directors were AFDA President Geoff Halbrooks, Don Daniels, immediate past president, Mike Morrison, secretary-treasurer, John Cook Rudder the legislative committee chair, and AFDA Lobbyist Graham L. Champion.
