Syble McDiarmid, 84, a resident of Greenville, Ala., passed away on Monday, July. There will be a visitation, Friday, July 11, at Johnson Funeral Home in Georgiana from 11 a.m. until noon. Ms. McDiarmid is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Newton McDiarmid. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Palmer, Ft. Deposit, Ala., and Regina Gibson, Greenville, Ala.; son, James Allen Cole, Pensacola, Fla.; sisters, Lucille Wasden, Greenville, Ala., Willie Mae Griggers, Minnie Lou Odom, both of Pensacola, Fla., Shirley Majors, Milton, Fla., and JoAnn McDaniel, Neosho, Mo.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
