Mrs. Evelyn Augusta Mitchell, age 89 of Andalusia passed away June 30.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, July 3, at the Keahey Funeral Home chapel. Rev. Larry Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in the Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Evelyn August Mitchell, loving wife of James Cantie Mitchell of McKenzie, Ala., leaves behind a loving sister, Geraldine Rhodes of Foley, Ala.; two sons, James Mitchell (Carolyn) of Fairhope, Ala., and Jerry Mitchell (Francis ) of Montgomery, Ala.; four grandsons, Earnest Mitchell (Amanda) of Daphne, Ala., J. Christopher Mitchell (Melody ) of Fairhope, Ala. and John Mitchell (Angie) of Wetumpka, Ala. She has gone to be with her grandson, Stephen Mitchell in Heaven. She leaves five great grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Liberty, Ramsey and Alex. There was never a more loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We will miss her until the day we join her in heaven.
