Janice Van Vactor Miller Lehman, was born January 5th, 1933, in Kansas City, Mo., to Dr. Robert Harvey and Ethel Jeanette Miller. In 1951 Janice graduated from Southwest High School in Kansas City. On June 16, 1951, she married Lawrence Mather Lehman, Jr. Janice and Larry had five children: Robert, Suzanne, Victoria, Jennifer, and Steven. Janice and Larry moved to Greenville, Ala., in 1969 where they continued to raise their family. Janice lived a full life and was devoted to raising her children, being a devoted volunteer and parent advocate for special needs children, and being an active and faithful participant of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Janice Van Vactor Miller Lehman (81) was preceded in death by her father and mother, Dr. Robert Harvey and Ethel Jeanette Miller and her brother, John Miller. She was also preceded in death by her son, Steven John Lehman. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence M. Lehman; her four children, Robert Lawrence Lehman, Suzanne Lehman (Bill) Cody, Victoria Lehman (Greg) Gregory, and Jennifer Lehman McCune; four grandchildren, William Lawrence Gregory, Walker Lehman Gregory, Matthew Curtis McCune, and Daniel Lawrence McCune. Visitation will be at St. Thomas Episcopal Church Parish Hall on Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary with Rev. Reid T. McCormick officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral directing. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Park. Friends and family are welcome at the Lehman’s residence following the services.
