Annie Elizabeth McInvale Black of Georgiana, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family June 4. Annie was wed to Harry Timothy Black on May 31, 1947. The couple had five children. She was a faithful employee for 44 years at Nightingale Uniform Company. Annie was predeceased in death by her parents, James Albert McInvale and Ila Mae Vickery McInvale; her husband, Harry Timothy Black; three brothers, James, Julian, Jewel McInvale; daughter-in-law, Cathy Black; and brother-in-law, Donald L. Peck. Survivors include: Sue (Tony) Peavy, Georgiana; Leanne Lincoln, Greenville; sons, Jimmy (Jackie) Black, Lucedale, Miss., Charles (Jane) Black, Conyers, Ga., and Joe Black, Greenville; sisters, Frances (Carl) Robinson, Pine Apple, Ala., and Eleanor (Murphy) Shell, Tuscaloosa, Ala.; sister-in-law, Alma Black Peck, Georgiana; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on June 6 at the Johnson Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Herbert Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Milner Cemetery in Georgiana with Johnson Funeral Home directing arrangements.
