Erma Nell Simmons, 79 a resident of Greenville, died on May 9. The funeral service was held May 12 at the First Assembly of God with Rev. Keith Simmons and Rev. Jason Simmons officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing. Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery. Mrs. Simmons is preceded in death by her husband, JT Simmons and her son-in-law, David Fondren. She is survived by her children, Rex Simmons (Carol) of Greenville, Lane Simmons (Dale) of Greenville, and Debra Simmons Woodall (Sullivan) of Mobile, Ala.; grandchildren, Keith Simmons, Jason Simmons, Tera Simmons, Brandon Simmons, Carmin Stinson, Josh Simmons, Annie Beth Foster, Todd Simmons, Ashley Simmons, and Alex Woodall; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Grant of Alexander City, Ala., and a special friend of the family, Willie Fred Searight (Jerlene).
