Becki Tindal has been selected as L.V. Stabler Memorial Hospital’s Employee of the Year for 2013.

The award is the highest honor bestowed on a hospital employee each year. Tindal was chosen from among 220 fellow hospital employees for the honor.

“Healthcare requires a special blend of great people skills, tireless energy and the ability to work well under pressure,” said Connie Nicholas, chief executive officer. “People who work in healthcare share the common desire to help others and make a difference in people’s lives. It’s a pleasure to recognize our employees for their dedication to our patients and to providing outstanding care.”

Employees are nominated for the award by their hospital peers based on their commitment to patient care, their professionalism, and their contributions on the job.

Tindal has worked for L.V. Stabler Memorial Hospital since October of 2003.

Tindal attended nursing school in the 1970s, and while it was not until 2003 that she became employed in healthcare, she always knew “patient care” was her first love.

“I am very happy doing what I love, and I love making a difference in the lives of people that I have the opportunity to serve here at L.V. Stabler Memorial Hospital” Tindal said.  L.V. Stabler Memorial Hospital Chief Nursing Officer Kimberli Weaver recognized Tindal as “someone who is always willing to go above and beyond for our staff, visitors, patients and physicians every day.  She presents with a smile, no matter how hectic the situation.  She is very conscience of her job responsibilities.  In addition to her exemplary job performance, Becki exhibits personal qualities of high morals and character strengths that help set the standard high for other employees to follow.”

Tindal was nominated and selected as a Firestarter Employee of the Month for her exceptional focus on L.V. Stabler Memorial’s commitment to their “Community Cares” culture.  This commitment is reflected by all employees, volunteers and physicians creating a great place for employees to work, physicians to practice medicine and patients to receive care.

“Each of our employees has a specific role in the delivery of quality healthcare to the people who live and work in Butler and surrounding counties,” said Nicholas. “Our success in meeting the needs of the patients we serve is dependent on the collective efforts of all employees.”
