Mr. Phillip E. Burkett, 63, a resident of Greenville, Ala., died Sunday, March 23, at Noland Hospital in Montgomery, Ala.

The funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25, from the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Al Freeman officiating. Interment followed at the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Greenville, Ala. with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing services. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Mamie Burkett; brothers, infant Alvie Bruce Burkett and Ted Daniel Burkett and sister, Mildred Burkett Wallace and son Dale Schofield.

Mr. Burkett is survived by his wife, Sheila Waller Burkett of Greenville; daughters, Gina Morgan (Kenneth) of Forest Home, Ala., and Amanda Dearden (Todd Braden) of Honoraville, Ala.; mother-in-law, Wille Merle Waller of Greenville; grandchildren, Madison Schofield, Dylan Schofield, Andrea Dearden, Evan Dearden, Tamara Shell, Tabatha Acreman and Brannon Morgan; adopted granddaughter, Emma Rutland; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
