“Come out and run or walk and help support a child in our community that needs your support,” said Nimmer.

Race day registration begins at 7 a.m. in the park and the race starts at 8:30 a.m.

The event, themed to Anchor Together to Prevent Child Abuse and Neglect, is one of the many fundraiser events used to help prevent abuse and neglect in the life of a child.

Nimmer encourages teams of 4 or more to come out and participate in the run/walk event.

“We hope individuals, businesses and organizations will register as a team,” said Nimmer.

“Teams can coordinate with matching socks, headbands, or complete matching attire.

Anything that allows us to anchor together as a team to join the fight against child abuse and neglect is something that we as a community should join forces in doing.”

Entertainment presenting by The Learning Station will provided after the race, featuring Movin’ & Grovin’ to the Hits Concert in the park.

Pre-registration is $25 or $30 the day of the event.
