One killed, two injured in weekend crash

A two-vehicles crash on Interstate 65 Saturday claimed the life of a 46-year-old woman.

Kim Marie Riebe, of Gulf Shores, was killed when the 1997 Chevrolet pickup in which she was a passenger was involved in a crash with a 1999 Peterbilt driven by Ronald Davis, 42, of Loxley, near mile marker 136 in Butler County. The crash occurred at 6:20 a.m.

Kim Marie Riebe was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Alabama State Troopers.

Davis was not injured.

The driver of the pickup, Ronald Riebe, 39, along with another passenger, Matthew Davies, 25, both of Gulf Shores, were transported to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.
