The Greenville Police Department has increased patrols following a terrorist threat. According to authorities, a note written on a bathroom wall at the USA Travel Center on Fort Dale Road, threatened a mass killing in Greenville set for Sunday, Nov. 17.

According to authorities, a note written on a bathroom wall at the USA Travel Center on Fort Dale Road, threatened a mass killing in Greenville set for Sunday, Nov. 17.

Authorities said the note, which was written Friday night, was reported by the on-duty clerk at the gas station, who said she believed the note was written by an Indian man.

“There was a threat,” Lt. Justin Lovvorn said. “Myself and the FBI have looked into it. It is not considered to be credible. We do have extra patrol out just in case.”

Authorities are continuing to investigate the threat.
