Cleo Davis Black, 84, a resident of Georgiana, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at the Johnson Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Mike Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana is directing arrangements. Mrs. Black was preceded in death by her husband, William Oy Black; son, Norman Black, and daughter, Carol Hasselvander. Survivors include, son, Ronnie (Judy) Black, Georgiana; sister, Effie Pinkerton, Georgiana; grandchildren, Leah B. (Trey) Coker, Evergreen, Ala., Matt Black, Georgiana, April Lynch, Texas, Crystal Hasselvander, Tuscaloosa, Ala., Brittany (Dustin) Whittington, Keri Black, and Kayla Black, all of Greenville, Ala., and Terri Smith, Mobile, Ala.; 11 great-grandchildren.
