A Florida man has been arrested following a manhunt Friday morning.

Butler County Sheriff Kenny Harden confirmed that Antonio Beverley, 27, a resident of Tallahassee, Fla., was taken into custody without incident, despite Beverley being armed with a stolen rifle.

“He stole a truck in McKenzie, and a rifle from inside another truck,” Butler County Sheriff Kenny Harden said.

“A man followed him and the suspect crashed the truck and then ran off in the woods with the rifle.”

Harden said shots were fired during the manhunt, but that no one was injured.

“He did fire it several times, but we don’t believe he was firing the weapon at us. At this point we’re not sure what he was firing at,” Harden said.

“We were able to locate him with the dogs, and he was taken into custody without incident. No one was injured.”

Beverley is being held at the Butler County Correctional Facility. He has been charged with theft of property, first degree, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, and theft of property, second degree. More charges are likely, according to Harden.
