CCA found its winning ways once again on Thursday night as it defeated South Montgomery County Academy 30-0.

CCA head coach Rick Jackson said this week that he hoped his Cougars could get back to their winning ways, and that’s just what his group did.

Running backs Collin Holloway and Gavin McKenzie led the Cougars to the win, combining for 244 yards rushing and three touchdowns.

Holloway scored from three yards out at the beginning of the second. McKenzie scored a five-yard TD, and Cougars’ quarterback Trent McGough hit Nathan Scoggins for a 20-yard TD pass with just a minute left before the break.

McKenzie had 18 carries for 117 yards and a touchdown, while Holloway put two TDs in the end zone and had 20 carries for 126 yards.

CCA led 24-0 at halftime.

Holloway added another TD late in the third quarter.

CCA defense held the Raiders to 127 yards on offense and six first downs, four of which were a result of Cougars’ penalties.

Matthew Luster had a good game on defense for the Cougars with eight tackles and an interception.
