Commissioners complete training

Butler County Commissioners Joey Peavy, Darrell Sanders and Allin Whittle recently completed 50 hours of mandated training. Each newly elected commissioner is required to complete the 50 hours of training during their term in office. Butler County’s three newly-elected commissioners completed their training during their first year in office. The required courses completed by the commissioners were County Government & the County Commissioner, Ethical & Legal Issues, Financial Administration, Roads & Bridges. Commissioners could also take elective courses that addressed Media Relations and the Open Meetings Law, Liability, Law Enforcement & the County Commission and Personnel Administration.
