Coosa Valley defeated Crenshaw Christian 31-8 Friday night.

Gavin McKenzie ran a 98-yard kickoff return for the Cougars’ only TD of the night.

Trent McGough hit Hunter Weeks for a two-point conversion.

Overall, Cougars threw the ball 8-for-18, and McGough was 5-for-11 for 63 yards.

Dalton Weeks led the Cougars with two receptions for 60 yards and Hunter Weeks had four receptions for 30 yards.

Defensively, Collin Holloway was the leading tackler with 12 tackles; Alex King had 10 tackles and McKenzie had nine tackles and one assist.

Next week, the Cougars will travel to Wilcox Academy.
