Fort Dale Academy head baseball coach Josh Beverly will hold a baseball camp July 10-12 at the Fort Dale Academy baseball complex.

The camp is open to third graders to 10th graders and will be split into a morning session for younger campers and an afternoon session for older campers. Campers do not have to attend Fort Dale Academy.

“Having the two sessions allows us to focus on skills that are more age specific,” Beverly said.

Campers will receive daily instruction in all phases of the game as well as play simulated games. They will also receive a camp T-shirt. Campers must provide a glove, hat, baseball pants. A bat and helmet is optional.

Beverly said he decided to hold the camp because he enjoys working with younger players.

“Before I started coaching high school ball, I coached city league baseball, and it was something I really enjoyed,” he said. “Younger kids tend to listen a little more than high school kids at times, and it’s fun to see them take what you’ve taught them and use it on the field. I think the camp is going to be a lot of fun. I’m really looking forward to it.”

The morning session will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 11:30 a.m. The afternoon session will begin at 1 p.m. and end at 3:30 p.m.

The cost to attend the camp is $50.
