Get your weather radios ready. The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Crenshaw County until 8 p.m.

There is also a hazardous weather outlook in which scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected into this afternoon, with the possibility of severe thunderstorms this afternoon.

The primary severe weather hazards will be damaging straight line winds and hail up to quarter-size.

Frequent lightning strikes and very heavy rains are expected with the stronger storms.
